Chronic Red and Irritated Eyes: With Cutting Edge in office Blepharitis Treatments available.
Do you suffer from chronic red eyes or irritation of the eyes? This can be caused by many different causes. We offer many treatments for blepharitis or redness of the eyelids which is often associated with red eyes and chronic irritated eyes.
For first-line treatment, we usually recommend a mild eyelid cleaner in wipe form. Ocusoft Plus is a basic and well-tolerated wipe. If you have recurrent chalazion and chronic red or dry eyes, we recommend adding a premade wipe with tea tree oil. One that is commercially available is Cliradex, and it works nicely for blepharitis management.
Cliradex is made from the key constituent of Tea tree oil, 4-Terpineol . This makes the product to some people less irritating than Tea Tree oil, or Melaleuca alternifolia, around the eye.
Another way to help with decreasing the bacteria on the eyelashes and decreasing inflammation, is the use of hypochlorous solution. This is available in Avenova or also Ocusoft Hypochlor which is commercially available on amazon. The key innovation behind this eyelid cleanser is the stabilized form of pure hypochlorous acid solution (with no bleach impurities, which are often present in Dakin and Dakin-like solutions). In in vitro laboratory studies, hypochlorous acid has shown to be fast-acting against bacteria, biofilm and toxins.
In-office treatments are a popular choice for blepharitis and are well tolerated. We also use microblepharoexfoliation therapy to help control eye redness.
We also use diagnostic techniques to get at the reason why you have red and irritated eyes. We participate with amazon affiliate program.
