Pediatric Eye Services

Dr. Longmuir offers comprehensive eye examinations for all ages of children.

She has years of experience working with children of all ages.  She has fellowship training in Pediatric Ophthalmology and strabismus.  Dr. Longmuir is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus and has had extra training in Pediatric Ophthalmology as a fellow in 2007-2008. From 2008-2014, she trained future pediatric ophthalmologists who now practice nationwide.  

We have a changing table and a waiting room for the children while waiting for the dilated examination.  We try to make the exam a pleasant experience.  

Eye drops are necessary, but we make this as quick as possible. Each child gets a prize for undergoing an eye examination or procedure. Scheduling the eye examinations when your child does not have to go back to school is a good idea, as the drops can make the eyes blurry.
